OUR HISTORY
Vision ’74 Inc. is a charitable
non-profit organization governed by a voluntary Board of Directors.
Vision
Nursing Home is a one hundred and ten (110) bed long term care
home with one hundred and eight (108) permanent placement beds
and one (1) male and one (1) female short stay (respite) bed. The
home is centrally located in the city of Sarnia, in southwestern
Ontario at 229 Wellington Street, with 60 beds constructed in 1975.
The organization expanded in 1982, with the addition of the adjoining
forty-six (46) bed Vision Rest Home. The Ministry of Health and
Long Term Care awarded Vision an additional fifty (50) long term
care beds, with the expansion of our home completed in December
2001. |
Vision Nursing Home is licensed through the Ministry
of Health Long Term Care and accredited through the Canadian Council
on Health Services Accreditation. The Nursing Home is a member of
the Ontario Long Term Care Association. The home has strong community
alliances with other care service providers.
